Where we got started...
In 1968, Mr. George Bray organized a hockey program for young people with special learning needs. The George Bray Sports Association Inc. was then started to provide a program for those in special learning classes in elementary or secondary schools. These youngsters may otherwise not have played hockey for any other organization. The league stresses "Fun" not "Competition" and provides each player with equal ice time, regardless of ability. Most of the participants have never played hockey before this program and have found it to be a great benefit in developing their confidence and sense of participation in a team sport. Most important is that everyone has fun on the ice and the parents enjoy watching their youngsters involved in the game.

The league is a parent participating non-profit organization. The coaches, junior referees, timekeepers and the executive are all volunteers who freely give many hours to this organization.
