PROGRAMS

Age Groups and Divisions

The GBSA is divided into four divisions: Fundamentals, Junior, Intermediate and Senior. Our seasons run from October 1st to April 1st. 

There are NO slap shots and NO body contact permitted in any division.

Fundamentals Division – 1 Team

  • Ages 7+ years old – ‘New to Hockey’
  • Focus is primarily on skating and skills development
  • On-ice skaters to provide need-based support
  • On-ice skate mates if needed

Intermediate Division – 4 Teams

  • 13 – 17 years old – based on ability
  • Equal ice times

Junior Division – 4 Teams

  • Ages 7-12 years old – based on ability
  • On–ice skaters to help players
  • On–ice skate mates if needed
  • Equal ice time for all players

Senior Division – 6 Teams

  • 17 years and older – based on ability

Hockey School – Learn to Skate / Skills and Drills

Starting in October for all registered and interested players. 

Runs every Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Kinsmen arena – alternating between Learn to Skate (Beginners) and Skills and Drills (Advanced). Cost is $80 for the season.
